“The Good Old Days History Museum in Soddy-Daisy is a hidden gem that truly lives up to its name. I stopped in on a whim and was blown away by the sheer volume and variety of local artifacts. The guy who runs the place was welcoming, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about preserving local history. This museum is well worth a visit. Five stars, hands down.”
We strive to preserve our area's rich heritage and shared history for future generations. The museum is housed in the old Soddy Banking Company building at the corner of Wall and Depot Streets. See displays and artifacts representing the local history of the Soddy, Daisy and Montlake communities. Our collection includes early settlement and frontier days, the Civil War, and the mining era and into the 20th century, charting this area's growth as a major town. Exhibits change seasonally and are rotated to cover this expanse of history.
We are certainly proud of this area's rich history.
